The Race

It started out so very fun,
new things to see and do,
but now it is almost all done,
and everybody's through!

I know we all want school to end,
but since it hasn't yet,
we have to make the best of it
so that we don't regret
how we spent the whole past year
once memories have set!

So since it is a marathon
to make it through the year,
instead of saying "school be gone!"
lets start a new goal here.

From now it is a crucial race
to make it to the end,
everyone pick up the pace!
Let's shoot 'round this last bend!

For when we arrive
at the end of the year,
we'll see how we thrived
until we got here!

Look! I see the finish line!
It's drawing quickly near!
